Forget the heavy, smoky incense you might be used to. Cherry Blossom is a softer, more delicate expression of Japanese fragrance.
Inspired by Japan's iconic cherry blossoms, this incense captures the airy, floral character of sakura. Lightly sweet, fresh and beautifully understated, the fragrance has a gentle softness that feels almost weightless. Rather than filling a room with perfume, it creates a subtle atmosphere that you notice without being overwhelmed by it.
Part of the Chikuseikō collection by KOHCHOSAI KOSUGA, a Japanese bamboo house established in 1898, each slender black stick is made using bamboo charcoal and plant-derived fragrance ingredients. The charcoal base helps minimise smoke, allowing the delicate fragrance to unfold without the heavy, lingering scent often associated with traditional incense.
In Japan, cherry blossoms symbolise renewal and the fleeting beauty of the present moment. It's a fitting inspiration for the Japanese tradition of burning incense, where fragrance becomes a way to slow down and pay attention. Light a stick in the morning, while reading or whenever you want to bring a little calm into your surroundings.
Each box contains approximately 225 incense sticks (80g), measuring 13.3 cm each.

Place one incense stick in a suitable incense holder on a heat-resistant surface. Light the tip, let it burn for a few seconds, then gently blow out the flame. Allow the incense to smoulder and release its delicate fragrance. Use in a well-ventilated space, away from flammable materials, and never leave burning incense unattended.
